The Municipality of ’s-Hertogenbosch has awarded the redevelopment of the monumental Molengebouw on the Tramkade to the Kade & Co consortium. Within this consortium, ECLECT is developing the hospitality concept: a hostel where guests become part of the local community surrounding the Tramkade.
The Molengebouw is getting a dynamic plinth with hospitality and office space for a new generation of city-makers, united in umbrella organisation De Archipel. ECLECT translates this layered function into a stay concept that aligns with what is already alive on the Tramkade: entrepreneurship, culture and community.
„Over the past few years, we have realised a diverse range of concepts, from a dynamic city hotel to an estate. With this hostel, we are adding a new form to our portfolio, close to the energy that already thrives on the Tramkade,” said Dennie Frits, CEO at ECLECT.
The coalition also consists of Buro Kade (initiator and architect), Piqet Development (developer), Alba Concepts (sustainability), Aannemersbedrijf M.P. Drijvers B.V. (restoration), and Barkade (co-investor, programming).
